PooR Egg

"Egg", what is the first impression comes from your mind about this object?Maybe some of you have different answers from mine, but I would say it is the most vulnerable and easy break object in the world. As Spokesmens of our egg , our job is to make sure the egg drop from the top mountain down to the hill without breaking. We know that is a impossible mission to acheive, but as a team, there is no single word like "impossible" in our dictionary, the only opinion we have in our mind is to make "impossible" to become "possible". First of all, we had already define our goals and objectives to prevent the egg of brearking by using a very limited material- eight straw and the two inches long tapes. We had discuss a lot of the different techniques together and try to test that by using a paper sample model we had created. As the only guy in the team, my job is to do most of the physical stuffs and try to satisify the needs of the gals. From the first 25 minutes of time, we had a little discussion of the process of whole plan. My plan is to use the scientific way to apply to our planning process(by consider the mass, pressure and Gravity), but this is too complicated. So we chose a very formal planning process by cutting the straw into shorter pieces and try to tape the egg all over with the requirement of 50% uncover surface. Everything is under our control, and it is done very nicely in our concerned. The next step is to drop it from the mountain high to the ground. A gal from our group(probably the shortest) went out and hold the egg in her hand and drop it to the ground. I can't see how it looks after it falled on the ground, but what i do hear is "pup" after the egg falled on the ground. I felt sorry for the egg, I knew our mission was failed. However, what I got out from this mission is more than what I was concerned. We had learned a lesson from life.

I found your review very amusing and I liked how you created this whole story about the egg and the mountain. I also liked how you said that "impossible" isn't a word in your dictionary. That's the attitude we should have embraced in our attempt and maybe we would have been successful. My team also failed but failing isn't a reason for quitting. We have to keep our heads high and wait for another challenge.

The first thing I think of when i hear of "egg" is breakfast! But I also agree it is a very vulnerable object. My team and I had confidence in mind, but as the final minutes came and we worked on alternative plan after plan, we came up with a contraption that didn't look too well. I guess planning shouldve been a bigger concern in my team. Also I was the only guy on the team as well, but I got nowhere near the egg as fear as I would break it! Next time we all do this assignment or anything else for that matter, hopefully we'll take this lesson into consideration.
